Obituary

Mildred "Millie" A. White, 88, of Troy, MO was called home to the Lord God on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 29, 1933, in Pinckneyville, IL to Willis and Dorothy (Bergfeld) Jacoby. Millie grew up with her younger brother, Kenny, and they attended the local schools. After graduating high school in 1951, she attended Sanford-Brown College in St. Louis and acquired an associate degree in Business.
In 1953, Millie's roommate introduced her to Raymond L. White, and it was an honest, rare, and special "love at first sight" moment. Raymond asked Millie for a date that evening, and a year later, on August 7, 1954, they were married. Their union of 36 years was blessed with two daughters: Charlotte and Raya. She took exceptional care of her family that she adored.
Millie led a life anchored in God's forgiveness and in the joy of walking in Jesus Christ's redemptive sacrifice. In 1998, it was so heavily laid on her heart to be intimately involved in her young grandchildren's lives that she sold her newly built home and accepted an invitation of moving in with Raya and Roy. Through her daily presence, dedicated involvement, and gentle voice, she became the Godly matriarch of a beautiful new multi-generational family unit. Every aspect of her life was a direct reflection in her pursuit of God, and she effortlessly embodied the gentle strength of Christ's love. The continuation of God's generational faithfulness had blessed Millie with the joy of her cherished great-granddaughter, Isabelle K. A. Wells, and great-grandson, Baby Krause who is due in January.

Surviving are her daughters: Charlotte (Dave) Dunklee of Gravois Mills, Raya (Roy) Krause of Troy; her brother, Kenneth (Bonita) Jacoby of Percy, IL and son, Ken; adoring grandchildren: Hannah (Winston) Wells, Tobias (Julia) Krause; grandchildren Barbra Ann (Matt) Pilkington; other grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Zack, Hailey; other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; devoted husband, Raymond White; and best friends/in-laws, John and Phyllis Moisson.
