Oleta Marlene Gilbert, 82, of Moscow Mills, Missouri, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. She was born on April 1, 1941 in Moscow Mills to Edgar Ralph and Georgia Myrtle (Martin) Pinkley. She was blessed with two children: Melvin and Sissy who were the joy of her life. In 1975, Marlene began working at Harper-Rowe Publishing in Troy and retired from there after many years of dedicated service. She was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time with her family. Marlene was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ in Moscow Mills.

Surviving are her loving family members: her children: Melvin "Buddy" Gilbert, Jr., of Moscow Mills and Oleta "Sissy" and husband Kenny Broyles of Moscow Mills; her grandchildren: Jason (Michelle) Broyles of Moscow Mills, Crystal Gilbert- Albidrez, Brian Gilbert, Nicole (Kevin) Sims all of California. She is further survived by her great-granddaughter, Hayley Broyles of Moscow Mills, who she dearly loved "to the moon and back!" along with seven other great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Linda Pinkley and infant great-grandson, Joshua Broyles, who held a special place in her heart.

Private funeral services to be held at a later date.  Pallbearers will be: Buddy Gilbert, Jason Broyles, Kenny Broyles and John Gilbert.  Officiating:  Mr. Jim Blossom.
