Obituary

Oliver, "Ollie" Floyd Danielson, 92, of St. Peters, MO, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.He was born on November 18, 1932, the only child of the late Floyd and Florence Danielson of Gowrie, IA. Ollie was the first in his family line to attend college, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering at Iowa State University. He later earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at St. Louis University. Ollie proudly served in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of 1st Lieutenant.

He always provided for his family and took care of them. He helped his children with schoolwork, projects, and showed by example the value of hard work, which he learned while growing up on a farm in Iowa. He made sure that his children got the education and experience they needed to take care of themselves when they went out on their own. Professionally, he worked as an engineer at McDonnell Douglas for all of his career. He had a good sense of humor and got along with everyone. To his friends and the people he worked with, he was known as Ollie. His children have a lifetime of memories to share with each other and with their children.

Oliver is survived by: His children: Linda Ponzar, David (Rowena) Danielson, and James (Donna) Danielson.
His grandchildren: Mandy (Jason) Peabody, Jason (Takako) Danielson, Nathan Ponzar, Kristin Ponzar (Kyle Riebeling), Jacob (Kayla) Danielson, and Jared (Fatima) Danielson, His great-grandchildren: Lisa, Ailee, and Michelle Danielson, Giselle, Oliver, and Alan Danielson, Darcy Danielson, and Kira Riebeling. Family and friends are invited to sign the online guest register at mccoyblossomfh.com.
