Obituary

James Edgar Greenacre went home to be with His Savior on August 20th, 2021. Jim met his high school sweetheart when he was 16 at Fox High School in Arnold, MO and through her faithful witness and God's pull on his heart, he gave his life to Jesus Christ at the age of 18 and his life was dramatically changed. He and Denise married that same year and then He surrendered to the ministry the following year. He never wavered from his calling. Some of his most treasured years, he served as a Missionary in the Philippines preaching the gospel and reaching countless people for Christ. When he returned to the states, he spent the next 31 years as a Pastor in many small churches, with times in between as a Christian school principal and a history teacher. He had a deep passion for teaching kids about their Creator and the incredible evidence of creation all around us. He loved to give tours of his office to everyone that would visit his church and show any interest in dinosaurs. The last 4.5 years he has poured himself into his church family at Crosspointe Baptist. He loved all of them so very much and prayed tirelessly over the work that God has done here. He gave so much of himself to everyone in his life and was always taking care of others. He leaves behind a legacy all of his children and grandchildren will forever carry.

He is preceded in death by his parents James Clark Greenacre and Doris June (Brollier) Greenacre and his father-in-law, Arnold Barton.

He is survived by his loving wife Denise Greenacre, his 8 children, Tammy and Todd Huskey, Chad and Heather Greenacre, Tara and David Ficher, Tania and Seth Denney, Marc and Tara Greenacre, Jon and Addie Greenacre, Jen Greenacre, and Carrie and Jayson Salvador, twenty-five grandchildren, Ashley Huskey, Garrett Huskey, Jordan Greenacre, Wyatt Greenacre, Madison Greenacre, Makayla Greenacre, Laya Greenacre, Brandon Ficher, Elly Ficher, Ben Denney, Jake Denney, Sam Denney, Joe Denney, Annah Denney, Ellah Denney, Jonathan Denney, Evie Greenacre, Cole Greenacre, Audra Greenacre, Riley Greenacre, Carson Greenacre, Tate Greenacre, Caydence Salvador, Cally Salvador, Jayce Salvador; his older sister Sabra Minkus, and younger brother Timothy Greenacre, and mother-in-law Carol Barton.
