Patricia (Pat)
Dudash Gajarsky
Jul 7, 1933 — Jan 18, 2023
Troy
Patricia Louise (Dudash) Gajarsky, 89, of Troy, MO, passed away at her home on January 18, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 7, 1933 in Washington, Pennsylvania to Emil and Viola (Skoczylas) Dudash. Patricia was senior class secretary and graduated third in her class from Trinity High School in 1951. She met Carl Gajarsky at a Saturday Night Polka Party at a Polish Club in 1952. They were united in marriage on September 18, 1954 in Washington, Pennsylvania. To this union were born their four daughters: Cheryl, Kathy, Susan and Mary. They moved to several states while Carl was training with McDonnell-Douglas. The family settled in St. Peters for a number of years and then moved to Troy, MO. Patricia's career started at St. Peters Bank in 1970 as a teller. She worked her way up to Assistant Vice President. She was a bank executive for many years and retired from banking in 1990. She then was the secretary at O'Fallon Christian Church for several years. After moving to Troy, Patricia and Carl were loyal members of Harvester Christian Church and made many friends there. Family and friends call her the most unique, special woman that you could ever meet. She never had an enemy, never said a bad word about anyone and love poured out of her at all times. If there was ever a perfect example of a great human and Christian, she was absolutely it. She liked to read, work word puzzles and was a big fan of the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals, which she enjoyed watching with her husband. Her favorite things were spending time with her husband, daughters, son-in-laws and grandchildren (who she adored). They all say that she was the best wife, mom and grandma that anyone could ever have. She made everyone feel safe and made you feel that there is still a lot of goodness in the world. Her biggest dream was to reach Heaven and everyone has found peace knowing she has made it there.
Patricia is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Carl Gajarsky of Troy, MO, daughters, Cheryl Costello, Kathy Tourigny, Susan (Reece) Gaines and Mary (Tim) Finch, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren (#12 due in June), nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Viola Dudash, brother, John Dudash and son-in-law, Greg Tourigny.
Patricia will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.
