Obituary

Patricia Anne Southerland, 76,  passed away on August 3, 2022,  at the Lacede Grove nursing home after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Beckley, West Virginia,  the daughter of Harliss Sydenstricker and Nona Helton. "Pat", as most people knew her, was the wonderful mother to seven children, a loving wife, a hard worker, and loving aunt. She worked as a cook at the General Motor's plant in Wentzville for many years.  She also helped one of her good friends with her catering company out of Warrenton.  Pat was known for her wonderful cooking, along with being a doting mother and grandmother. She left this world knowing she leaves behind children and grandchildren that adored her. She always knew that she did everything in her power to help them. Pat will be missed by many, but remembered by all she touched with her loving, kind heart.
She is survived by her beloved children:  Patti Mozee( Alfred) George (Sharon) Southerland, Katherine(Esteban) Aguilar, Tim (Gynna) Southerland, Virginia(Alberto) Madrid, William (Ellen) Southerland, and Nona(Andrew Harrell) Irvin. She was the grandmother to 22, and great grandmother to 6 and loving aunt to many.
She was preceded in death by her mother  and father, her husband (George Southerland) and other loving family members.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:20 a.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO, 63379. Funeral Mass also to be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, 29 St. Alphonsus Road, Silex, MO, 63377. Father Chuck Tichacek to officiate. Interment will be private. Friends and family may visit our website at mccoyblossomfh.com to sign the on-line guest register.
