Patty L. Brokaw, 75, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at her residence with her family by her side.  She was born on March 6, 1950 in Lamesa, Texas to Hubert and Patsy (McKee) Standefer.  Patty grew up with her three siblings: Randy, Ricky and Pamela.  The family moved extensively throughout the southwest as a child.  In the 1960's the family settled in St. Charles County.  It was here that she met her soulmate, Gregory Brokaw.  They were married on August 7, 1971 in O'Fallon, MO.  To this union were born two sons: Shawn and Jeff. Two years later, the couple moved to Troy while building their home.

After graduating post secondary school, she began her career with Emerson Electric, then ACF as manager of word processing. Finally working with Thomson Coburn as Manager of secretarial services. One of Patty's special projects was to give away shoes to anyone in need.  Once traveling to Albuquerque to deliver shoes to a boys' orphanage.  Patty was known as the "shoe angel".

Surviving are her loving family members: her devoted husband of 55 years, Gregory Brokaw of Troy; her sons:  Shawn and wife Anne Brokaw of Troy, Jeff Brokaw of Overland Park, KS; her loving grandchildren: Hugh, Hallie and Owen.  She is further survived by her three siblings: Randy and wife Velvet Standefer, Ricky and wife Carol Standefer, Pamela Standefer; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
