Bowling Green
Reba Lois (Linthicum) Humphrey, passed away March 23 at the age of 91. She was a member of Mid Rivers Seventh Day Adventist Church and treasured her church family there. She worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, but retired from St. John's Mercy Hospital after a 15 year career. She cherished spending time with her family, loved to laugh - even at herself, and enjoyed playing games. She and Vernon loved dancing - and were very good at it -and spending time with friends. Reba was a good athlete, and when younger, she loved playing volleyball, coaching softball, and enjoyed bowling until late in life. Sports played a big part of her life, whether rooting on her children and grandchildren, or following the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues. The Green Bay Packers and Bart Starr were favorites also.
Reba is survived by her sons: Rod (Shirle) Humphrey, Bruce (Sherry) Humphrey, Craig (Diane) Humphrey; her daughter Pam Humphrey and son, Bart (Nancy) Humphrey; her brother Jack (Theresa) Linthicum; grandchildren: Shannon Turnbough, Bryan Humphrey, Shane (Amy) Humphrey, Chad Humphrey, Christy (Devlin) Roark, Jacob (Jasmine) Humphrey, Jessica (Jacob) Stout, Daniel Bahr, Elijah (Branna) Humphrey, Karie Brown, Michael (Gina) Brown, Alicia Hase, Jordan Hase, Richard (Amanda) Humphrey, Tricia (Tony) Sandlin, Aiden Humphrey, Patrick Millsap, Ryan Millsap; 31 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her spouse of 54 years, Vernon Humphrey; her parents Claude and Lora Linthicum; mother-in-law Dorothy Humphrey Brigman, brother Edward Linthicum; sister Barbara Linthicum, a half-brother, half sister, and grandchildren Autumn Humphrey and Kevin Hase.
Reba will be laid to rest with Vernon at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. She will be missed by both family and friends.
