Rita Violet Hunter, 74, of Elsberry, MO, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Elsberry Health Care.
She was born on May 24, 1948 in Hayward, California to Jose and Lillian Ramirez. Rita attended the local
schools there along with her four siblings; Juanita, Veronica, Jose and David. Rita was blessed with two
wonderful daughters: Valerie and Kimberley. In 1985, Rita followed her brother to Missouri. She had
worked as a CNA for both Elsberry Health Care in Elsberry and Parklane Nursing and Rehab in
Wentzville. Some of her hobbies included crochet, macrame, shopping, but especially spending time
with her family and friends. Rita was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister
and friend to many.
Surviving are her loving daughters: Valerie (Jerry) of Davenport, Iowa and Kimberley (Jeronimo) of
Patterson, California; her four siblings: Juanita, Veronica, Jose and David (Tanya), She is further survived
by her six grandchildren: John Young, Aileen Young, Alan (Devon) Young, Amanda Jared, Kristy (Brad)
Herian, Mark (Hope) Alley and her 12 great-grandchildren: Tyliah, Kadin, Damion, Kiarra, Isabella,
Kaelyn, Keeley, Aubrey, Ashlyn, Jackson, Theodore and Landyn and her very special little dog Riley.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents.
