Rita Lorene Mulligan, 64, of Troy, MO, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at her residence. She was born on August 17, 1960 enroute to Fulton, MO. She was the child of Edwin and Mary (Thomas) Bailey. Rita graduated from South Callaway High School. On July 11, 1981, she married the love of her life, Patrick Mulligan in Mokane, MO. The happy couple were blessed with 3 children, their daughters: Mary and Katie and a son, named, Will. Rita made it her life's work caring for her family, and nothing brought her greater joy. Her home was filled to the brim with love, happiness, and laughter. In later years, Rita enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies were vacationing at the beach with her family, cooking home cooked meals, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball games, and attending her grandchildren's sports games. Rita was the sweetest person and was absolutely adored by her entire family. She will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew her.

Rita is survived by her beloved husband, Patrick Mulligan of Troy, her children; Mary (Nick) Voss of Warrenton, Katie (Eric) Hylton of O'Fallon, and Will (Paige) Mulligan of Lake St. Louis, her grandchildren: Henry, Eleanor, Charles, Oliver, Patrick, and Evelynn, her brothers: Robert Bailey of Portland, MO, Raymond Bailey of Fulton, Randy (Dawn) Bailey of Hams Prairie, Ricky Bailey of Fulton, Russell (Angie) Bailey of Fulton, and Rhonda (Dwayne) Woods of Fulton, as well as many other relatives.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation to take place on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St. Troy, MO 63379 (1-636-528-8244)

A memorial mass will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawk Point, MO. Father Clark Maes to officiate. Inurnment to follow in the Mashek Cemetery, Hawk Point.
