Robert "Bob" Putting, age 89, of Troy, Missouri, went to be with Jesus on May 19, 2022. Bob was born in Marshfield, Missouri on September 5, 1932. He was orphaned during the Great Depression, ending up in an orphanage in St. Louis. Mr. and Mrs. Putting of Troy, MO raised him.
In 1952 and 1953, he found himself in the northern part of Korea. Returning home, he married the love of his life, Kay Gililland in 1959. They were married for almost 63 years. He was a member of several Christian churches for 63+ years. Bob worked at the Mears Heel factory in Troy and then spent 30 years with McDonnell Douglas. He loved to travel, especially out west. He lived his life celebrating whatever his children and grandchildren were doing.

Bob is survived by his wife Kay, his three children Joe (Luanne), Jerry (Lisa), and Jennifer Putting. He was also blessed with seven grandchildren, Leah, Luke, Jacob, Hana, Alisha, Nick and Sarah. Other survivors include a sister, Lillian Ahlheim in Springfield, MO and a niece, Karen Dugan, in San Jose, CA.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 10 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. at McCoy -Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379  (636) 528-8244.

Funeral will also be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at McCoy -Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory Troy, MO.  Officiating:  Rev. Joseph Putting.  Interment to follow in Troy City Cemetery.
