Robert James Swantner Jr., of Wentzville, MO, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the age of 94. Beloved son of the late Robert James I and Alvina Swantner (nee Griesenhauer)  ; devoted fatherof Diane Koch and the late Robert James "Jim" Swantner, III; cherished grandfather of Erin and husband Jeff Davis of Curryville, and Bryan and wife Molly Koch of Defiance, treasured great-grandfather of Kindall and husband Dawson Bickel) and John Kenawell, Kaylee, Lilly, Tyson, and Tenley Koch; Father -in-law of Karen (Gary) Springer; beloved uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Swantner (nee Boland), his  son; Robert James "Jim" Swantner III, granddaughter, Sarah Joanne Swantner; great-grandson, Brady James Koch; two siblings; Larry Swantner and Mary Jean Prinster.

He loved camping and traveling. Most important to Bobby was his family and friends. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
