Samuel "Sam" L. Elston, 92, of Troy, MO, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021. He was born on April 21, 1929, in Lincoln County, the son of Thomas Curtis and Sarah Emma (Barnes) Elston. After attending the local schools, Sam went on to graduate from Troy Buchanan High School, class of 1947. He then married Bonnie Howell, and the happy couple were blessed with 2 beautiful daughters: Patti and Beverle. After his beloved wife, Bonnie, passed away, Sam married Melba Colbert. Sam was a very kind man, who had great faith in God. He always went to church and it was very important to him. Sam will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew him.
