Shannon Lee Harrell, 75, of Troy, MO, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026. She was born on August 31, 1950 in Indiana, to Sam and Mary (Farber) Hicks. After attending the local school, Shannon worked various jobs. In 1990, at New Hope Baptist Church in Troy, she married the love of her life, Carl Harrell. She worked in the kitchen at Troy Buchanan High School for several years. Shannon enjoyed working there and made many lasting friendships with her co-workers. Her greatest joy in life has been her 7 beloved grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and they called her "MaMa Shannon." Every single holiday she went all out for her family to have the best celebrations. Though her favorite was always the 4th of July. She and several family members would load up about three carloads of grandchildren and take them to the fairgrounds to watch fireworks. Shannon cherished her beautiful flower garden, especially the rose bushes and the daylilies. She was a beautiful, caring person and will be remembered lovingly by everyone who knew her.

Shannon is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Carl Harrell of Troy, her children: Sammy Harmon of Troy, Brian (Missy) Harmon of Troy, her step-daughter, Kelly Harrell of St. Louis, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, her brother, Scott Hicks of Troy, her sisters: Stephanie (Tony) Menne of Warrenton, Jana Hicks of Troy, Joni Hicks of Foley, her brother-in-laws: Leo (Sharon) Harrell of Troy, Neal (Pam) Harrell of Foristell, Alan (Maggie) Harrell of Moscow Mills, her sister-in-laws: Kay (Paul) Dudley of Troy, Doris (Bert) Kaimann of Moscow Mills, and Julie Harrell of Flint Hill, as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and brother-in-law, Kevin Harrell. Per her wishes services will be private.
