Obituary

“

Sharon was a hardworking woman who knew the value of rolling up her sleeves and getting things done.

Sharon Lenk, of Winfield, Missouri, was born on February 8, 1943, in Troy, Missouri. She passed away on October 30, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Robert Hunn; infant daughter, Mary Hunn; and daughter, Sandra Marie Moore.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Nona May Trower (the late Ray Trower); and her sons, John Hunn (Shanon), Roy Haffner, and Michael Coleman (Kay).

Sharon was a hardworking woman who knew the value of rolling up her sleeves and getting things done. She wasn't afraid of hard work, whether it meant working the family farm, calving, mending fences, or doctoring sick animals. She was a woman who could do a little bit of everything and wasn't one to sit around waiting for someone else to do it. She had a green thumb and a special love for dogs, hummingbirds, and cardinals. She enjoyed canning, sewing, quilting, and embroidery, keeping alive the old-fashioned skills that turned hard work into something beautiful. She was also known for her homemade pies, especially cherry pie, a family favorite.

She had a green thumb and a special love for dogs, hummingbirds, and cardinals.

Sharon had her own way of doing things and never needed anyone to speak for her. She was strong-willed, stubborn, fiercely independent, and a little ornery. She had no filter and never sugarcoated her words. She was blunt, straightforward, and always told it like it was, much like her late mother, Ethel Duckett. Those who knew her best understood that behind that stubborn streak was a woman with a strong heart, a determined spirit, and a love for her family that ran deep. She had a few simple favorites that made her unmistakably herself: John Wayne and western movies were at the top of her list, sweet tea was a must (sweet tea or nothing!), and when it was time to get fancy, a little Red Door perfume was all she needed.

Sharon's life was one of hard work, strong opinions, family traditions, and simple pleasures. She leaves behind memories of homemade cherry pies, sweet tea glasses, western movies, a garden full of life, and a personality that was impossible to mistake for anyone else's. Sharon will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy, Missouri, alongside her two infant children, Robert and Mary.

Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she leaves behind will live on in the hearts of those who in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
