Shawn Michael Richter,49, of Elsberry, MO, passed away on November 2, 2022. He was born on March 20, 1973 in St. Charles, MO to Michael and Dorothy Richter. Shawn attended the local schools, along with his sister, Michelle. He was united in marriage on March 20, 2016 in Troy, MO. Together, Shawn, Taryn, Devan and Kirsten all made a family. Shawn and Taryn were owners of Straight Home Sports Bar and Good Times Bar & Grill in Troy, MO. They loved their customers and many of them became friends. Shawn enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved drag racing, playing pool, RC cars and video games were his passion! Shawn had a good sense of humor and was loving and caring with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him.

Shawn is survived by his wife, Taryn Richter of Elsberry, MO, children, Devan Richter of Chicago, IL, Kirsten Gibson of Elsberry, MO, his parents , Michael Richter  and step-mother Helen Golden-Richter of  St. Peters, MO, one sister, Michelle (Michael) Whitrock of St. Peters, MO, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Richter and his in-laws, Jack and Cathy Gibson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
