Sherry Ashlock, 73, of Wentzville, MO, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025 in Moscow Mills, MO. She was born on December 10, 1951 in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Orlan James and Irene Mae (Evenson) Thornton. Sherry attended the local schools along with her siblings and obtained an associate's degree from the University of Missouri- Columbia. She was united in marriage on July 9, 1983 in Columbia, MO to James Ward Ashlock. Three children were born to this union; Joseph, James, and Frances. She was a homemaker while the children were small and then worked in the hospitality industry. Sherry enjoyed playing cards, reading, and completing crossword puzzles. Her family describes her as "Intelligent, tenacious, competitive, kind, and loving. She will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

Sherry is survived by her children: Joseph William & Ali Ashlock of Wentzville, James Justin Ashlock of Wentzville, and Frances Corrine & Kyle Tyndell of Moscow Mills; seven grandchildren: Connor, Jon, Gabriel, Jackson, Jensen, Rowan, and Ryder; siblings: James Terry(Julianne) Thornton of Troy, MO, Donna Lea (John David) Stone, Jeff O'Dean (Beth) Evenson, Jari Jean (Michael) Baldwin, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, James (Jimmy) Ashlock, her sister, Janice Darlene Stone, and her niece, Julie Stone.
