Steven Robert Duncan, 75, of Urbandale, Iowa, passed on December 4, 2022 after a long illness in Troy, Missouri. Steve was born on August 26, 1947, in Jeferson, Iowa, the son of Frank and Olive (Morgan) Duncan.

Steve graduated from Urbandale High School in Urbandale, Iowa. After high school, he joined the United States Navy and served in Vietnam; his last duty assignment was on the USS Carter Hall. Following his service in the Navy, Steve attended and graduated from Iowa State University and worked for the Maytag Company in Iowa. For several years later and until he retired, he drove a big rig.

He is survived by a daughter, Shannon Purdy, and her husband, Keith, and grandchildren Kelsey and Keaton, of O'Fallon, Missouri, and by his sister Cheryl Blanco, of Maryland, and brother Jeff Duncan and his wife Chris, of Iowa. Preceding him in death were his parents, Frank and Olive Duncan, and a sister, Sandra Steingrabe.
