Steven T. Holicka, 74, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on August 3, 1948 in St. Louis.  Steven was the oldest of his five siblings.  At the age of 20, he was called to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps from July 24, 1968 thrrough March 19, 1970.  Shortly after returning from the Vietnam War, he met his sweetheart, Judy Vollmar.  On July 6, 1970, the couple was united in holy matrimony.  They moved to University City and Steven began working as a dispatcher for the St. Louis City Police.  Shortly after, he began working as a police officer for the City of St. Louis.  He later worked for the Florissant Police Dept, retiring after many years of dedicated service.  After his retirement, the couple relocated to Troy to enjoy country living.  Some of his hobbies included old cars and  going to car shows where he won many trophies.  His favorite car of all times was a Mustang.  Steven will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his beloved wife of over 52 years, Judy Holicka of Troy; his son, Gordon Holicka of West Plains; his sister, Serena Gideon; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jason Holicka and his four siblings.

Graveside service to be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Jefferson Barracks, National Cemetery in St. Louis.  Rev. Randy Vollmar to officiate.
