Susan M. Barker, 80, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Elsberry Health Care.  She was born on December 16, 1942 in St. Louis to Charles and Mary Ann (Diekmann) Guth.  Susan grew up with her three siblings, Chuck, David and Joyce.  The family moved to Shrewsbury in 1954 when Susan was 14.  She graduated from Bishop DuBourg High School and this is where she met her soulmate, Robert "Bob" Barker.  The couple was united in marriage on Nov. 8, 1962 in Shrewsbury and were blessed with two daughters: Julia and Barbara.

After Bob completed his education in Chicago, the family moved back to Shrewsbury.  Susan had worked as a bank teller for many years until the couple retired.  They moved to Lake of the Ozarks and enjoyed all the wildlife, hunting and fishing.  Some of her hobbies included making craft projects and reading.

The Barker's moved back to Troy about five years ago and became active members of Sacred Heart Church in Troy.  Susan was a lovely person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her devoted husband, Bob Barker of over 60 years; her two daughters: Julia (John) Cerrone of Lake St. Louis, Barbara (Tim) Bergt of Fenton; her four grandchildren: Justin, Andrew, Stephanie, Sarah and her four great-grandchildren: Trevor, Daphine, Dani and Emma.  She is further survived by her siblings: Chuck (Terri) Guth, David (Becky) Guth and Joyce (Tom) Campbell.

A Memorial service scheduled at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, Troy location.  Fr. Chuck Tichacek to officiate.  Family and friends are invited to sign our online guest registry at: www.mccoyblossomfh.com
