Theresa (Arlene)
Burns
Jan 23, 1931 — May 15, 2022
Troy
Theresa "Arlene" Burns, 91, of Troy, MO, passed peacefully at home on Sunday, May 15,2022. Arlene was born on January 23, 1931 in St. Louis to Neil and Emily (Thomae) Hansen.
Arlene had a certain sass and wit about her. She was known for always "winning" at cards. She has taught all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren this skill. Arlene never knew a stranger. She had worked as a dedicated employee for GE lightbulb plant, retiring after many years of dedicated service. Arlene married her soulmate, Thomas G. Burns on August 21, 1971 in St. Louis. Visiting and making new friends was very easy for Arlene, as she never met a stranger. Her family was her life and her No. 1 priority. She will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.
Arlene was survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Thomas Burns; her son, Dale Miller and special daughter-in-law, Kathy; the daughter she always dreamed of. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Shawn (Karla) Miller, Melissa Schieffer and fiancé Ty Lesinski, Sheri (Keith) Wies; great-grandchildren: Jeffery, Katie and Madalyn Miller, Kasie, Chase Schieffer, Michael, Christian, Quentin, Aleander and Nicholas Wies; bonus great-grandchildren: Tristan (Kayla) Miller, Kailey Miller, Taylor (Zoreona) Lesinski, Ashley, Dylan Lesinski; great-great-grandchildren: Braxton, Jr. and George Miller; bonus great-great-grandchildren: Hadley Miller and Naomi Lesinski; very special grand pups: Daisy, Avery and Hershey. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Donald and Raymond Hansen; great-great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Miller and baby Wies.
