She is survived by her siblings Virginia (Bill) Bradley, Marilyn (Jon) Schulte, Beverly (Kevin) Mangrum, and Lesa Link, who will forever cherish her memory. She also leaves behind her beloved sister in law Shirley Pollard and best friend Ronda Mennemeyer along with numerous, nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends.

Virgie is also survived by her children, David Bruning and Tracy (Shawn) Creech. She was a loving grandmother to Kevin Bruning and Taylor Winegardner, and a proud great-grandmother to Brylen Bruning and Kinsey Bruning, who brought light and joy into her life.

Through her marriage to Jim, Virgie's family grew even larger. She is survived by her stepchildren: Paul (Lisa) Geeding, Steve (Janice) Geeding, Dale Geeding, Karen Geeding, and beloved former daughter-in-law Shiela Flynn Geeding

Her step-grandchildren include:
Brad (Jaime) Geeding; Crystal (Elijah) Condellone; Tiffany (Brian) Geeding-Latham; Chase (Danielle) Geeding; Maddison (Tyler) Geeding-Richterkessing; Gregory (Kylie) Geeding; Philip Geeding; Nathan (Mary) Geeding; and Shayna (Brandon) Horst.

She will be lovingly remembered for her many decades of volunteer work at the Lincoln County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she selflessly gave her heart and time. She also devoted decades of service to the Lincoln County Fair—volunteering in multiple areas, serving on the board, and receiving the distinguished "Friend of the Fair" award. The "kitchen crew" will not be the same without her presence, dedication, and warm spirit.
