Obituary

Voleta J. Prior,79, of Loveland, Ohio, formerly of Briscoe, MO, passed away on June 7, 2022, at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Briscoe, MO to Wilmer and Mary Ruth (Wells) McCardie. She attended the local schools along with her four siblings. On August 6, 1960 she was united in marriage with George Prior at the Troy Holiness Church. To this union were born two children; Freida and Duncan. Voleta was an excellent minister's wife; she traveled everywhere that George did and always had a beautiful smile and warm hug.  She loved cooking, playing piano and singing. Voleta carried a song in her purse at all times. She said God gave her the ability and she always wanted to share her songs. Voleta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a mentor to many women that she met during their church work over the years. Her favorite times were spent cooking for her beloved husband and her large, always growing family on any occasion. She will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.
