Walter F. Prince, 79, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at SSM – Lake St. Louis Hospital. He was born on November 1, 1946 in St. Louis, MO to Walter and Maryellen (Polkinghorn) Prince. Walter was raised in Maryland Hts, MO and graduated from Pattonville High School. At the age of 20, he entered the U.S. Army.

After serving his time in the U.S. Army, he was introduced to his future wife, Pam Tiepelman and the rest is history. The couple was united in holy matrimony on November 20, 1971. They were blessed with two children: Tim and Tobie who were their pride and joy.

About 25 years ago, the couple moved to Troy to enjoy country living and to be closer to family. Walter had a special talent working with wood and spent many hours with this hobby. Watching T.V. was another pastime of his. He cherished each and everyone of his family members and loved spending time with them. He will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who loved him.

Surviving are his devoted wife of 55 years, Pam Prince of Troy; his son, Tim and wife Jenna Prince of Moscow Mills; his daughter, Tobie and husband Kenny Hatcher of Troy; his adoring six grandchildren: Logan Prince, Lucas Prince, Abigail Chapman, Madalynn Hatcher, Emma Prince, Carter Prince; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial service to be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379, 636-528-8244.
