Wayne Tollefsrud, 79, of Elsberry, MO, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at McClay Senior Care in St. Peters.  He was born on April 14, 1943 in Brainerd, MN to Charles and Edith (Thiers) Tollefsrud.  Wayne grew up with his five siblings and attended the local schools.  At the age of 19, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served from June 1, 1962 until July 19, 1964.  After  his honorable discharge from the military, he began working in the concrete business; first pouring concrete, then driving concrete trucks and finally operating his own "Tollefsrud Construction Co."  He was a very hard worker and always appreciated and took good care of his customers.  Wayne married Pat Wolf and they were together for 18 years before her passing on Oct. 29, 2012.  The couple spent alot of time on the Mississippi River where they had a vacation home.

He is survived by his son, Rick Tollefsrud of Osage Beach; his sister, Joann Tollefsrud of Pine River, MN;  other relatives and friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Tollefsrud; and his four siblings: Ron, Karen, Gary and Sandy.

Inurnment to take place at a later date at National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks.
