L. Woeger
Oct 15, 1944 — Oct 3, 2024
Louisiana
William "Bill" Lee Woeger, 79, of Louisiana, MO, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024. He was born on October 15, 1944, in St. Charles, Missouri, to Eugene "Gene" and Mary Elizabeth (Riddle) Woeger. After graduating high school in Troy, Missouri he went on to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia. Bill began his career at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft as a flight's test engineer, a job he truly enjoyed. Then in 1966, Bill enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, rising to the rank of Sergeant. After his tour in Vietnam, he returned to his career at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft. In 2010, Bill married Kathy A. Robbins, and they shared a beautiful life together. Bill cherished spending time with his family, especially his many grandchildren. A passionate sports fan, he often watched two games at once, rooting for his favorite teams—the St. Louis Cardinals and the Mizzou Tigers. He also loved attending his children's and grandchildren's sports games and school events. Bill was witty and had a dry sense of humor, endearing him to those around him. He will be remembered lovingly by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Woeger of Louisiana, MO; his children: three daughters, Melissa Erlitz of Scott's Valley, CA, and Jennifer (Jason) Riendeau of Pahrump, NV; stepdaughter, Meghan Holt of Savannah, MO; and two stepsons, Matthew Murry (Susie Gloe) of Louisiana, MO, and Joe (Jessica) Hausmann of O'Fallon, MO, one son-in-law, Allen Bauer of Scott's Valley, California. Bill also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Karen Bauer, and his brother Edward Woeger.
